NSoS is a community drumming group that has been performing and workshopping in and around Nottingham for nearly 20 years. We get together every week for workshops and rehearsals and perform throughout the year indoors and out. We can provide between 6 to 25+ drummers for your events and have played at huge variety of events including festivals, parades, wedding receptions and nightclubs. We also run workshops in schools, colleges, universities and as part of staff training days.

We play a mix of Brazilian styles including the reggaes and maracatus of the North East of Brazil right through to the batucadas of the South. You’ll also hear songs from the folkloric traditions of Brazil.

If you’ve seen us out and about and would like to give drumming or dancing a go then please drop in and say hi! You don’t need any experience and we provide all the instruments and the teaching. All you need to bring is your energy and a smile!
